"Raising awareness of stress"
Vocabulary
To cope with stress: To deal effectively with something dificult. Example: She feels that she can not cope with stress because she has had many problems in her house.
Raising awareness: Refering to public or common knowledge or understanding about a social, scientific, or political issue. Example: People need raising awareness about the risk that it is produced for smoking.
Distress people: To cause strain, anxiety, or mental pain to. Example: The amount of distress people have increased in the last years because of the economic crisis that affect some countries in the world
Overwhelming problems: when a situation is so big that it is almost imposible to deal with the problem. Example: Some experts say that to deal with overwhelming problems is not easy , for that reason they advised to change the daily routine and to try playing sports.
Raw material: Substances such as coal or iron that are in their natural state before being changed by chimical processes. Example: Wood is the raw material to make paper, houses, furnitures and so on. For that reason we need to be careful because many companies have been deforesting forest without any regret.
Low income: Earning very little money. Example: Glovalization is an issue that produce more economic activity, but unfortunately the result is more jobs but with low income.
Gender inequalities :It is the disparity between individuals due to gender. Example: Women in this decade are still fighting with gender inequalities, this has caused that nowadays women are looking for the same rights like men.
Hazardous conditions: Involving risk or danger. Example: Some workers have to work in hazardous conditions becuase they are employers do not want to spent money in their workers or infrastructures.
Under-employed: Employed only part-time when one needs. Example: She can only works like an under-employed in the restorant because she has not found another job.
Hectic jobs: Full of activities, so when workers have to do many things. Example: Nowadays workes have to deal with many problems such as higher job competition, job insecurity, hectic jobs and so on.
