General objectives:

  • To develop the ability to analyse the EFL methodologies and the approaches that tend to generate autonomous learnings, within the curricular structure of new programs.
  • To develop skills to design, plan, and evaluate learning-teaching situations in English as English Foreign Language.

UNIT II. Role of L1 in the English classroom

Reaction paper focus on the texts "first language acquisition by Freeman (2004) and Brown (2007)" a reaction paper means a paper that contains nothing other than your own original thought and analysis.

UNIT III. Skill- abilities of the language

Comparative essay, how to teach reading. This comparative essay was focus on the articles written by Harmer, Jeremy (1998); Nunan David (2003) and Grellet Francoise (1981) who suggest different ways and methods of how to teach reading, showing similarities and diferences among the authors.

Comments about this course

                Through this course “ English Didactics” has give me a useful tool, as a future teacher of english, because provides me knowledge of diverse methods and appoaches,  in order  to teach the english language appropriately; moreover, the readings have allowed me to identify differents types of skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking) and how is the best way  to teach to the students.
